Love Island star Olivia Buckland has laughed off Gaz Beadle's claims that she has been 'using his name for publicity', and responded: "Who is he? Who is Gaz? Tell me!"

Fans will know that recently there has been no love lost between Olivia and Gaz, ever since he accused Love Island of being a "carbon copy" of Geordie Shore and Ex On The Beach.

Gaz also took a swipe at the Love Island couples and claimed that none of them would last, prompting Olivia to hit back. She did so by claiming Gaz was only targeting the show to "get back in the limelight" and because his relationship with Charlotte Crosby never worked out...

Gaz then responded by claiming Olivia had used his and Charlotte's names to gain publicity, but speaking to her recently, Olivia exclusively told Reveal that was not the case.

We caught up with her and boyfriend Alex Bowen as he moved into Olivia's Essex flat. When conversation turned to Gaz, Olivia told us: "I've never met him. I don't care about him. I don't understand why he said that!"

"I don't even watch Ex On The Beach, Geordie Shore or anything that he's in so [laughing uncontrollably] I don't understand why he is saying things like that. It's a very strange thing to say," she said.

"Alex and I are in the press quite a bit and he's said that couples don't last and that it's fake, but I'd just like to say that it's not fake at all," she added. "We've just moved in together for god's sake - it's not fake.

"I don't even really know who he is. Who is he? Who is Gaz? Tell me!" She joked.

Her feud with Gaz started with him hitting out at Love Island. He had originally told The Sun: "All it is is just a carbon copy of Geordie Shore and Ex On The Beach. ITV know they've got to get young, good-looking people in to have sex, get drunk, argue with each other and fight - and that's what we've been doing on Geordie Shore for five years.

"Let them do what they want, they'll only be famous for three months. They get papped together and they're like, 'We're going so well.' Everyone else is like, 'No you aren't.' They've got this delusional thought that if they stay together they'll do well, but they won't."

Olivia responded via Twitter and tweeted Gaz directly to say: "Really @GazGShore very shallow & small minded to generalise relationships in the reality TV industry like that.. Watch & learn doll."

She then hit back at Gaz's comments futher by telling Daily Star: "Comparing Geordie Shore to Love Island doesn't make sense... Him and Charlotte haven't had the best of times. I think he's just trying to get back in the limelight and say something about a couple that actually works."

Gaz then responded to Olivia by replying to a tweet sent to him by a fan, that accused Olivia of using his name for publicity. It read: "Seems all you gotta for a bit of press is mention @Charlottegshore & @GazGShore these days."

Gaz replied: "Tell me about it," adding two 'Zzz' emojis.
