The popstar was in Cheryl's girls' group in the seventh series of X Factor, finishing in seventh place. But, after the series, things soured between the women.
Cheryl wrote in her autobiography that she'd only put Katie through to live shows to cause drama and help with viewing figures, prompting Katie to tweet: "@cherylcole thought you were better than this. Shame I trusted you. You live and you learn."
Appearing on This Morning following her eviction on Tuesday night (24 August), Katie was given a recap of her feud with Cheryl and asked how she feels about her now.
"I like to think I'm over it now and I'm really pleased to see her actually happy," said Katie. "I think that's really fantastic. I guess I'm pleased she's left me alone and I've left her to it. It was a little bit crazy but clearly, after my experience in the Big Brother house, maybe it was great TV!"
Katie, 30, also said she had no regrets about her time on X Factor and said she's pleased to have taken time away from the limelight after leaving the ITV show.
"It's definitely made me who I am," she said. "I'm really pleased I took a break after it, regrouped and refocused. I'm now in my thirties. Where has the time gone?"
She was evicted from CBB on Tuesday night alongside Sam Fox, narrowly missing a place in this Friday night's finale. The winner will be either Bear, Marnie Simpson, Ricky Norwood, Frankie Grande, Renee Graziano or Aubrey O'Day.
