TOWIE's Pete Wicks has denied rowing with Courtney Green at V Festival.

A photo published online on Tuesday (23 August) showed Pete and Courtney talking to each other at the event in Hylands Park, Essex, with a source claiming: "It looked really intense."

Pete, however, has denied rowing with TOWIE co-star Courtney, tweeting: "We were all together #anythingforaheadline."

And when a fellow Twitter user posted about reading the story, calling Pete out for "bullying lasses", Pete was quick to reply: "Oh you read it in a paper online, must be true."

Pete has had his issues with girlfriend Megan McKenna's best friends in the past. Viewers know Courtney and Chloe Meadows felt last series they didn't really know Pete, so they arranged a roller-skating day out with him.

Which didn't go that well.

"Fun wouldn't be the word I would use," he said afterwards. "I ain't got anything in common with them, to be honest with you. But [Megan] wanted me to go and make an effort so I did. But they were asking me things like, how do you eat a Crème Egg? It was a bit of a pointless exercise. I don't think I'll be doing much with them again, no."

Megan later fell out with Chloe and Courtney, calling them bad friends for not defending her during rows and for socialising with her 'enemies' Lydia Bright and Chloe Lewis. Chloe M and Courtney, however, vehemently denied that, saying they'd always had Megan's back.

Chloe M told Reveal magazine: "I don't like Pete at all. I don't think he's ever given me and Courtney [Green] a chance. He's always said we have nothing in common. We have Megan in common and that should have been enough. He's been a factor in pulling our friendship apart."

Megan, meanwhile, told us: "They say we can be the same but we can't - we've outgrown each other. We've still got a group of friends outside the show, so we'll still be at stuff together, but we won't be best mates."

However, in the series 18 finale earlier this month, it appeared that Megan, Chloe M and Courtney had reached a truce and were working to repair their friendship, even if Megan said their Girl Band group was "dead."
