Megan McKenna has given her support to her former Celebrity Big Brother co-star Jeremy McConnell, saying critics need to "lay off" him when it comes to the situation with Stephanie Davis.
TOWIE star Megan got to know both Jez and Steph during the January 2016 series of CBB. It was during the show that Jeremy and Stephanie fell for each other, despite Steph being in a relationship with model Sam Reece at the time.
After leaving the house, Steph's romance with Sam ended and she began dating Jeremy, but it was a rocky relationship, resulting in a fourth and final split in May. Steph then announced she is pregnant, although Jeremy initially cast doubt on whether he is the father.
Writing in her latest Reveal magazine column, Megan, 23, said: "I got a bit of hassle on Twitter for sticking up for Jeremy McConnell, who I was in CBB with last year, over his row with his pregnant ex Stephanie Davis.
"There's always two sides to every story. I don't agree with Jez cheating before he knew Steph was pregnant, but people have forgotten that she cheated first, on her ex-boyfriend with Jez… in front of the nation!
"Everyone's feeling sorry for Steph because she's pregnant and putting on the waterworks, but I don't agree with bringing up a baby in a toxic relationship, and that's what Jez's point is.
"I fully believe he'll support that child and be there for it, he just doesn't want to be in a relationship with her. It's both their responsibilities, but why dish your dirt out all over the place like Steph has? Instead, focus on yourself and your baby, rather than cashing in from bad-mouthing him."

Stephanie announced her pregnancy in May, but Jeremy initially told an Irish magazine he didn't think he could be the father, as Steph had told him she'd had her period since their split. Stephanie has always vehemently insisted Jeremy IS the dad.
Jeremy later issued a statement to Loose Women saying: "Me and Steph broke up after numerous arguments and fights over insecurities and work schedules. In the month after we split, I saw videos online of her in bed with other guys which is why I said I would do a test to prove I am the dad.
"Having the baby won't fix what me and Steph had already tried to fix so many times. A pre-test on a baby can be fatal. That is the reason I wouldn't want to do a paternity test until the baby is born."
Stephanie recently announced their baby will be a boy, telling OK magazine: "I cried my eyes out after the scan – it's another milestone Jeremy's missed."
