Lewis Bloor's CBB exit is said to have had a negative impact on the show's ratings, now there is no more romance drawing in viewers.

Former TOWIE star Lewis was recently evicted from the CBB house, alongside James Whale, in a double eviction - separating him from his house girlfriend Marnie Simpson.

They were the last standing couple in the house, following Chloe Khan's exit the week before (she had enjoyed a fling with Bear) and the prospect of no more romance has meant some viewers are deciding to no longer tune into CBB, according to reports.

Daily Star reveals that Saturday night's episode of CBB gained 850,000 fans, considerably less than the show's average this series of 1.4 million.

A source told the paper: "It's a terrible start to the final week. The house is lacking in drama and things aren't looking good for viewing figures. Lewis and Marnie were providing all the sex appeal and now the spark is firmly out."

Fans had seen Lewis and Marnie's romance blossom onscreen and were witness to their steamy PDAs and their naked showers together on the show. They, along with Bear and Chloe, had left fans divided with their controversial antics in the house (that had included boob-flashing and topless pole dancing), but with no chance of romance left in the house, could viewers now be wanting more?

A spokesperson for CBB declined to comment when contacted by Reveal.

News of CBB's ratings comes after Lewis declared his love for Marnie on his departure from the house. In his exit interview with host Emma Willis, Lewis said: "I'm gutted to leave her (Marnie). The best thing about this experience is meeting her. I feel like she's my best friend and I fancy her as well.

"I needed her to see the person I am and not the person everyone thinks I am. She loves me for who I am, and I love her. She's wicked."

Marnie, meanwhile, was devastated to see Lewis go and fans saw her vent her frustration in the Diary Room. She told Big Brother: "I'm angry Lewis isn't here, and I'm left with a bunch of people who shouldn't be here. I hate them all. I hate them."
