Geordie Shore's Gaz Beadle has hit back at Love Island star Olivia Buckland, suggesting she is 'using his name for publicity.'

Olivia and Gaz clashed recently, after he branded Love Island a 'carbon copy' of Geordie Shore and Ex On The Beach. While Olivia did hit back at Gaz's comments at the time time, she has now addressed them once again, taking a swipe at Gary's relationship with ex Charlotte Crosby.

She told Daily Star: "Comparing Geordie Shore to Love Island doesn't make sense... Him and Charlotte haven't had the best of times. I think he's just trying to get back in the limelight and say something about a couple that actually works."

Olivia said she thinks Love Island is a lot more than "shagging and getting pissed on TV", claiming she hardly got drunk on the show and has actually met someone she has fallen in love with, boyfriend Alex Bowen.

Her comments, however, didn't go unnoticed by Gaz and he seemed to suggest he was bored by them.

One Twitter user had tweeted Gaz to say: "Seems all you gotta for a bit of press is mention @Charlottegshore & @GazGShore these days."

He replied: "Tell me about it," adding two 'Zzz' emojis.

Gaz had originally told The Sun: "All it is is just a carbon copy of Geordie Shore and Ex On The Beach. ITV know they've got to get young, good-looking people in to have sex, get drunk, argue with each other and fight - and that's what we've been doing on Geordie Shore for five years.

"Let them do what they want, they'll only be famous for three months. They get papped together and they're like, "We're going so well.' Everyone else is like, 'No you aren't.' They've got this delusional thought that if they stay together they'll do well, but they won't."

Olivia hit back via Twitter: "Really @GazGShore very shallow & small minded to generalise relationships in the reality TV industry like that.. Watch & learn doll."

She and Alex have been dating since meeting on the second series of Love Island, and their relationship seems to be going from strength to strength. The couple recently revealed they are now living together, as Alex has moved into Olivia's Essex flat.

Gaz, meanwhile, is currently single and is starring on Ex On The Beach's all star series on MTV.
