Billie Faiers has bowed out of TOWIE after six years, sharing her final scene with adorable daughter Nelly.. but some fans have said she deserved more airtime in her last episode.

The 26-year-old ended her The Only Way Is Essex career on Wednesday night's series 18 finale, enjoying an afternoon at Bobby Norris' circus-themed 30th birthday with little Nelly, two.

We'll miss Nelly!

Billie announced her TOWIE departure was imminent earlier this summer, saying it was time to move on from the show that made her famous and focus on her family and other projects.

She's been on TOWIE her whole life.

Her last episode didn't actually feature much of her on camera, as we only saw Billie for a few minutes with Nelly at the party, where she reflected on her engagement and spoke about the future.

Billie told Lydia Bright and Tommy Mallet how fiancé Greg Shepherd proposed to her in the Maldives two years ago when she was pregnant with Nelly, adding: "I need to get planning with the wedding and stuff, and as you all know, I do want to have another baby."

Lydia said it is the "next chapter" of Billie's life.

Bye!

Taking to Twitter after the episode, Billie said: "Awww my last #TOWIE episode with my little lady ... What an amazing 17 series I'v had , going to miss everyone xxxx."

A multitude of TOWIE fans took to social media to say goodbye to Billie and wish her well with the future, although some pointed out considering Billie is a show original, she should have had a bigger send off.

When we spoke to Billie last week, she told us she's looking forward to the future, and thinks she's making the right decision in leaving TOWIE now.

"Things have to move on. There are so many new characters – it's like a new era now. I think there's only Arg [James Argent] and Lydia [Bright] left from the original cast," she explained.

"I just want to focus on other things. I'm not saying I'd never go back because it has been amazing... Others have gone on to great things. So, I suppose it's kind of nice to start a new chapter of my life. I feel like I should try something different."

But we could see her back on TV one day, perhaps following in the footsteps of sister Sam Faiers who quit TOWIE and now has her own reality series with ITVBe coming up, The Mummy Diaries, which follows her life with son Paul.

"I'd like something more fly on the wall, where viewers could get to know my personality and my relationship," she said.

Good luck Billie!
