Love Island's Scott Thomas knew he wanted to go big when popping the girlfriend question to Kady McDermott, exclusively telling Reveal: "When I get together with someone, I go all out."

That he did and it was hands down one of *the* cutest moments of the show's second series. Scott had asked Kady out by spelling out 'Be my gf?" in towels by the pool, with candles and flowers. He then sat by his masterpiece and looked on as Kady nodded that she would out of the bedroom window.

Can you get any more romantic?!

Catching up with Scott and Kady recently we just had to know if they had watched their moment back onscreen, since leaving the show, and why Scott decided to go so big to ask Kady out.

Recalling the moment, Scott said he and Kady had watched it back (they've only watched the good bits of the show), and told us: "It came together so well and it happened so well on the night too. It couldn't have gone any smoother. It was beautiful to watch."

We asked him if he was nervous about carrying out the grand gesture on camera and Scott replied: "I wasn't nervous in terms of Kady saying yes, I knew where I was at with her, but obviously it's a bold statement and I've never done that before in my life."

Everyone had wondered what Scott was up to at first, especially as the set up looked a little like he was going to propose - and it wouldn't have been the show's first proposal as Jon Clark got down on one knee during Love Island's first series.

Admitting she had wondered what Scott was up to, Kady said: "I was a bit like, 'What is happening?'"

Scott then added: "I was nervous because it was going out on a whim in front of the whole nation, but I was nervous about how smoothly it would go. It went amazing, it couldn't have gone better for me."

He explained that when he likes a girl, he falls pretty bad for her and that's why he decided to pull out all the stops for Kady.

"When I fall for someone, that is what I'm like. I've been single for a reason," he explained. "I wouldn't get with someone unless I was head over heels and when I do get with someone, I go all out. We had to watch everyone else go official and we said we were never going to do that… Watching all those people, I thought, 'It's our moment now.'

"Some of those couples crumpled and they didn't stay together, I just thought I'm going to do it and I'm going to do it big."

That he did and having her say on Scott's efforts at the time, Kady gushed: "I now have a boyfriend! I swear to god, I've never had anyone do something so thoughtful and so sweet for me before. People can buy you stuff, but that was so sweet. We had such a rollercoaster; I don't regret any of it. Not all couples would have got through what we've been through. It shows we are strong and we do like each other."

Scott and Kady finished in third place on Love Island and since returning home, the pair have seemed nothing but smitten. So much so, that fans have been treated to a slew of selfies and Snapchat stories and Kady has been spending time with Scott and his family in Manchester.
