Billie Faiers is taking a break from The Only Way Is Essex after six years.

Billie is just one of the few original TOWIE stars still on the ITVBe show but has apparently decided to call it a day...for 2016 at least.

Following reports that Billie had quit the programme, Reveal can confirm that she is taking a breather to focus on her daughter Nelly and fiancé Greg Shepherd.

A Lime Pictures spokesperson told us tonight: "Billie has recently made us aware that she would like to prioritise family life and little Nelly for the rest of the year.

"We are in full support of this decision and will continue discussing with her how best to move forwards. Billie is a much-loved and valued member of the TOWIE team and we are happy she wants to continue working with us."

Billie first arrived on our TV screens alongside Sam when TOWIE launched in 2010. Although she mostly kept her relationship with Greg out of the spotlight, viewers did see her become a mum to daughter Nelly in 2014.

Sister Sam has landed her own show since quitting TOWIE

Thanks to the success of the show and her popularity with fans, Billie and Sam were able to open their own shop - Minnies Boutique. She also has her own clothing range with In The Style.

While Billie remained in front of the TOWIE cameras, Sam quit the reality show in 2014. Earlier this year, Sam and boyfriend Paul Knightley starred in their own one-off documentary called Sam Faiers: The Baby Diaries. Billie featured in the show and she is also set to appear in the forthcoming spin-off, Sam Faiers: The Mummy Diaries.

Sources have claimed that Billie would love to land her own TV show too.

TOWIE continues at 10pm, ITVBe, on Wednesdays and Fridays.
