You may recognise Katie from her stint on The X Factor back in 2010. She was deemed a controversial contestant after dividing judges and the viewers at home, and since her stint on the show, Katie has made no secret of the fact she isn't a fan of it and her former mentor Cheryl.
Now Katie is back on our screens, but she insists she has grown up this time and wants to show people a different side to her.
She told host Emma Willis that she is very different now in her thirties, compared to her twenties and said: "I've grown up really. It's a new chapter in my life."
Katie added in her VT: "I'm definitely not really away with the fairies. I'm very grounded."
When asked what happened on The X Factor, she said: "I just don't even want to address it." Although she did add: "When I was on The X Factor I really think people got to see the wrong side of me... life on The X Factor was definitely an experience where I wanted to shut myself in a dark room. And I pretty much did that.
"I believe in timing and I think that now's the time, if any to just take it by the balls. I think this is going to be a fantastic opportunity to show people what I am like in my thirties."
Katie is now married and living in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband.
She isn't the only former X Factor star to enter the house this year, as Chloe Khan (aka Chloe Victoria), who starred on the same series as Katie, will be joining her.
CBB airs nightly on Channel 5.
