TOWIE's Megan McKenna has broken down in tears after admitting she fears her close friendship with Chloe Meadows and Courtney Green is fading away.

The 23-year-old broke down on Wednesday night's (27 July) episode after seeing a photo of Chloe and Courtney on a girls' night with Lydia Bright, Kate Wright and Chloe Lewis.

It was particularly surprising as Megan's no friend of Lydia and Chloe L.

"It doesn't surprise me really," said Megan, when she was shown the photo while at dinner with Georgia Kousoulou and Danielle Armstrong.

"In Majorca I know the girls went for dinner with Lydia and Chloe. I held my tongue about it. I can't tell people who they can and can't hang out with."

Georgia said to flip it around, she didn't feel bad hanging out with Megan, when she's also friends with Chloe L and Lydia.

"I completely understand what you're saying, I'm here with you, it's fine," said Megan, "but I had my girls' backs the whole way through when they were having agg with the other girls. I don't think they have my back at all.

"Chloe has been my best friend since I was a baby. I just feel like I have lost my best friend. I have, you don't understand. We are not the same and I do feel like her and Courtney always o off. Chloe is my best friend. It's always been me and Chloe and Courtney, whatever."

Megan was upset.

As for the suggestion Megan now has boyfriend Pete Wicks and isn't available as much to hang with them, she said: "That's a load of s**t because I've had Chloe's back. I just feel like it's my hard time, why hasn't she got my back?"

Courtney and Chloe, however, have defended their girls' night out, saying they would be "isolated" if they just waited for Megan, as she's frequently doing "coupley things" with the Essex pairings. They also think they could get the girls' to change their minds on Megan.

"Maybe we can change their mind to like, start getting in the idea of just being civil with Megan," said Courtney.

"Life's too short to hate everyone. It's awkward because they don't like our friend, and in an ideal world we probably shouldn't really be talking to them, but at the end of the day, they haven't done anything horrible to us and the only thing we can say to them is leave Megan and Pete alone, drop it. And we have said that. Then it makes it not awkward for us because we don't want to feel awkward talking to them."

TOWIE continues Sunday at 10pm on ITVBe.
