The pair went on a girls' night with Kate Wright, Lydia Bright and Chloe Lewis on Wednesday night's episode (27 July), which upset Megan, who feared she was drifting apart from her close friends. She also thought they should have her back and not be hanging out with people who she's feuding with.
But speaking to the TOWIE official website, Courtney and Chloe said they would be left alone if they didn't hang with the other single girls, as Megan has boyfriend Pete Wicks and often does 'coupley' things they can't attend.
They also suggested they could change the other girls' minds on Megan and form some sort of truce between the warring parties.
Courtney said: "Maybe we can change their mind to like, start getting in the idea of just being civil with Megan. Life's too short to hate everyone. It's awkward because they don't like our friend, and in an ideal world we probably shouldn't really be talking to them, but at the end of the day, they haven't done anything horrible to us and the only thing we can say to them is leave Megan and Pete alone, drop it. And we have said that. Then it makes it not awkward for us because we don't want to feel awkward talking to them."
Chloe agreed, saying: "Maybe we could persuade them actually, she's not that bad."
She also pointed out a few months ago she NEVER thought she'd be hanging out with Kate Wright, following a rocky start to their friendship. If you remember, Kate accused Chloe of wanting her then-boyfriend Dan Edgar, and Chloe took a swipe at Kate's fashion ("Dressed like you're going to a wedding. F**king hell. On Brentwood High Street.")
"We did not get on," reflected Chloe. "But look at us now. Anything could happen and they could eventually be friends."
Fans know Megan's had major issues with Chloe L and Lydia this series, which started earlier this year. Chloe L accused Megan of sleeping with her then-boyfriend Jake Hall, although Megan and Jake vehemently denied it. Then this series, Chloe L revealed she'd seen Megan "grinding" with a man who wasn't Pete, but Megan denied that as well. It all led to a huge row between Megan and Chloe L, who was backed by Lydia.
Chloe and Courtney added that they're single, while Megan is in a happy relationship, so they can't always hang out with her and the couples. "We'd be isolated," pointed out Chloe.
TOWIE continues Sunday at 10pm on ITVBe.
