The Bella Sorella owner had a seven year on-off romance with Arg until their break up earlier this year; a break up that wasn't amicable and resulted in Lydia telling Arg she didn't even want him as a friend.
"I just want to enjoy single life, focus on me and my career and have fun," said Lydia.
"I don't want to take life too seriously and I want to live in the moment and take life as it comes. I used to be so focused on what was happening in the future but I've learnt to live in the moment and enjoy what's happening now."
Lydia said she wouldn't rule out having another romance on TOWIE but right now she's not looking to jump into a new commitment.
"Never say never," said Lyds. "You can't rule out falling for somebody else but I don't have any intention of being in another relationship anytime soon. I have no regrets with James but it's now time to focus on being by myself and being single.
"I have no desire to get in another relationship for the next couple of years."
Lydia and Arg split following series 17 but the break up was only revealed a few weeks after it happened. Neither has said exactly what cuased the split, but Lydia has said she felt massively let down by something Arg had done.
They came face to face in Majorca earlier this month, marking the first time they'd been in contact since the separation.
Lydia told him: "I just think moving on from now I deeply don't want us to ever be friends. You're not the kind of person I want to be in my life. My life is my life now, and I'm getting on with it, we'll keep it that we're strangers. We will just walk past each other and that's how I would like it. I don't want to know you anymore."
TOWIE continues Wednesday at 10pm on ITVBe.
