TOWIE star Megan McKenna has hit back on Twitter, after she was labelled as "trashy."

Fans of the ITVBe reality show reacted to Megan and her boyfriend Pete Wicks' row with their co-star Mike Hassini on Twitter last night (24 July), and among the comments, Megan noticed that one user had criticised her for 'trying to be something that she's not.'

Not one to hold back, she responded to the tweet and told the sender to "jog on."

During the TOWIE episode, Megan had tweeted after noticing she and Pete were trending and thanked fans for their support. She said: "We trending babbyyyy @P_Wicks01 #towie thanks for all the love you bunch of sorts!"

However, one user pointed out that Megan may not have been trending for the 'right reasons.' They tweeted: "Someone tell @Megan_Mckenna_ she's not trending for a good reason. Trashy lady trying to be someone you're not. Just accept who you are."

However, Megan hit back: "I do accept it. Im common. Im normal. And I speak my mind and stand up for myself. Now jog on. You absolute t*t. (sic)"

Fans had watched her clash with Mike, after he accused Megan of flirting with a group of boys he said he saw her pictured with out in Marbella. He said that if he had a girlfriend, he wouldn't have wanted her acting in the same way.

Mike's claims came after Chloe Lewis accused Megan of 'dirty grinding' on another man at a pool party in Marbs that wasn't Pete Wicks. Megan insisted that hadn't been the case and Pete confronted Mike for his comments, telling his co-star that he was "wading in" on the pair's relationship unnecessarily.

As things got heated between Mike and Pete, Megan stepped in and said to Mike: "You actually make me sick. I thought you were my friend and Pete's friend. This whole flirtation thing is absolutely ridiculous. Why don't you worry about your f**king image with your fake toupee and your f**king pedal pushers?"

Mike had told Pete he only mentioned the photo and flirtation rumour because he'd want Pete to tell him if a girlfriend of his was being accused of that.

"You think I've done this maliciously but it ain't that at all," said Mike. "I said it as I'm your mate."

Following the row, Pete and Megan had their say on Mike and claimed he had only got involved as he wants to bed Chloe.

Megan said: "I actually think that Mike has brought up this picture thing because he wants to get in Chloe Lewis' knickersā€¦"

Pete interrupted to say: "Anyone's knickers."

"He's so desperate," agreed Megan. "He can't f**king hold down a bird to save his life. What makes me feel sick is he has no respect for girls, none at all, we know that for a fact."

Taking to Twitter after TOWIE's latest episode aired, Megan praised Pete for standing by her through all their latest drama. She tweeted: "Always got my back @P_Wicks01 #ATeam."

Pete, meanwhile, told his followers: "We all have limits, we all have different morals and a different understanding of respect. That is the beauty of life."
