Last night (17 July), TOWIE returned to our screens and fans saw Lydia and Arg come face-to-face for the first time since their split. It's safe to say their reunion was pretty dramatic and in heartbreaking scenes, Lydia told Arg that she wanted the pair to now be "strangers."
She told him: "You had everything you ever wanted: you got me back after all those years, we were getting a house, we were getting engaged, but nothing was ever good enough for you."
Lydia continued: "I just think moving on from now I deeply don't want us to ever be friends. You're not the kind of person I want to be in my life. I would like you to stay away from my friends and family... My life is my life now, and I'm getting on with it, we'll keep it that we're strangers. We will just walk past each other and that's how I would like it. I don't want to know you anymore."
Her firm words left Arg in tears on the beach and he later told his co-stars he was heading home from Majorca.
News that the couple had split surfaced in May, two months after Lydia decided to end her relationship with her beau of seven years. The pair are still yet to confirm the reasons behind their split, but Lydia has said she had "no choice" but to walk away.
In yesterday's episode, she told Arg she had tried to support him, but he had "let her down" time after time. While many praised Lydia for being so "strong" about their split, others criticised her for being too harsh on her ex.

Only so many times you can support someone. On to the next chapter in my life. #TOWIE— Lydia-Rose Bright (@LydiaRoseBright) July 17, 2016
Arg, meanwhile, told his co-stars that everything Lydia had said to him had been the truth. He took to Twitter following the episode and thanked fans for their support, but assured them he will be "A OK."
Arg tweeted: "Ive never known my phone or social media to go this crazy, all I can say is thank you everyone! I'm going to be A OK x (sic)."
He also received a slew of support from his co-stars, with Pete Wicks telling Arg to "keep his head up", while Jake Hall tweeted: "@RealJamesArgent mate don't worry about all that people who truly care will always be there for you! Ups and downs that's life mate."
Lydia, meanwhile, suggested she is now moving on from her past with Arg. She tweeted: "Only so many times you can support someone. On to the next chapter in my life. #TOWIE."
In a second tweet she added: "Never had such a big Twitter response. Thank you everyone for your messages of support. That was a hard ep, everything from the [heart]."
