Love Island's Malin Andersson has received her apology from Terry Walsh, with the former couple agreeing to be "civil" after all the drama of recent weeks.

Viewers know Malin was left devastated when she was eliminated from the villa, leaving boyfriend Terry behind, then had to watch as he admitted he wasn't missing her and then cracked on with new islander Emma-Jane Woodhams.

Emma was with Terry when Malin and Olivia walked over.

Malin then returned to Majorca to confront Terry while he was out of the villa and get an apology, but that didn't happen, prompting Malin to tweet: "All I wanted [was an apology]. But he couldn't even do that. It's closure now, anyway."

But she finally got the apology on last night's Love Island: Heading Home, after bumping into Terry and Emma at the cast reunion party.

Malin was backed up by Olivia.

Terry and Emma had been sitting in a booth together when Malin walked over with Olivia Buckland. But rather than raised voices and shouting, it was all very calm and civilized as Tel apologised to Malin and she said it was time to move on.

"There is one thing I need to get clear," said Terry. "When you walked into that restaurant I had no idea you were coming Ma. I was on the back foot straight away. That conversation didn't go where I wanted it to go at all. I was so surprised you were there I was on the back foot so I'll start again, knowing I'm going to see you: I am sorry for hurting you."

They toasted to a civilised future.

And Malin got her apology.

Malin replied: "It's done now and in the past. That's literally it. I don't want to talk about it or have anything bad. I wish you both the best. Treat her well."

Terry added: "I never wanted to hurt you like that. I just hope we can be friends because I still think you're a good person."

"Lack of respect, that's all it was," replied Malin. "I just want us to be civil and that's it."

Terry then proposed a toast saying: "Here's to us. No hard feelings."

Earlier in the episode, Terry had told his friends: "When Malin turned up that day, I was so taken aback by her being there that I didn't have a chance to really apologise to her properly. She has every right to be annoyed at me. I couldn't compose myself. I will have a chance to apologise to Malin at the reunion party. It will be my chance to talk to her face to face and apologise to her. It was an argument and I walked away from there feeling terrible as I never wanted us to leave things like that and unfortunately we have."
