Love Island's Sophie Gradon, Nathan Massey and Cara de la Hoyde have stepped up in defence of Caroline Flack after a slew of unflattering articles about the star's presenting skills.

Former Miss Great Britain Sophie, 30, made her feelings clear via Twitter when she simply wrote: "I [love] Caroline Flack #cutflacksomeslack."

We agree!

Caroline replied by sending Sophie some kissing emojis.

Caroline's had to endure some pretty unflattering articles since Love Island's finale, criticising her presenting skills and even suggesting she shouldn't return next year. She was also accused of flirting with islander Alex Bowen, who is happily coupled up with Olivia Buckland.

Say what?!

Well, show winners Nathan and Cara have totally refuted that later accusation, telling Reveal: "It's b******t, she's an absolute darling of a woman."

Cara added: "You can't have Love Island without Caroline Flack. That's ridiculous."

Caroline, meanwhile, responded to the reports by sending her thanks to Nathan and Cara, saying: "Thank you @NathanMassey_ and @Miss_Delahoyde ...I was ignoring all the silly comments, but you two are [heart emoji]."

Love Island will return in 2017 with a brand new series - applications are open now - and while it hasn't been officially confirmed Caroline will return, multiple reports have suggested she will.

A source told The Sun: "Love Island has enjoyed incredible ratings and bringing Caroline back was a no-brainer. She's great fun and has really appealed to the show's young audience."

Woohoo!
