Love Island: Sophie Gradon threatens to leave the villa, after she realises it's Tom Powell that she wants to be with and not newcomer Katie Salmon.

Fans will know that Sophie and Tom had been in an official relationship, but were forced apart when Tom was dumped from the villa by the public. On his exit, Tom told Sophie he loves her and she vowed to continue on with her experience and win Love Island for her beau.

However, viewers then saw Sophie turn her attentions to new girl Katie Salmon, labelling her "godsend" after her tumultuous relationship with Tom. Sophie and Katie had kissed on their dinner date, and Katie had then chose to Sophie to recouple with - but it now sounds like Sophie is having second thoughts...

Sophie reveals she wants to leave the villa, as she doesn't want to ruin the possibility of a future with Tom.

Her decision is prompted by the villa's latest challenge, where islanders have to read tweets posted by the public and guess who they are about. The tweet about Sophie likened her to Terry, with it claiming she is doing the same thing to Tom, as Terry has done to his ex-girlfriend Malin.

Following Malin's exit from the villa, Terry appeared to publicly dump her on TV. He claimed he was single again and went on to pursue a romance with Emma-Jane instead.

Struggling to accept what the outside world may be saying about her, Sophie admits: " I'm trying to get on with it but I'm really struggling with it. I'm having high moments and low moments. If I'm recoupled, that makes me think 'What's Tom gonna think?'"

Despite seeming pleased to be coupled with Katie, Sophie is now worried about how it could affect her relationship with Tom. She tells the islanders: "Right, that's it for me. I'm done. Yeah, I'm going to ask [if I can leave]. I cannot do this, it's just too much of a mind-f***. It's not worth it. It's not worth losing Tom over. I can't lose Tom, I can't."

Admitting that it is actually Tom that she wants to be with, Sophie later says in the beach hut: "I need to be real and I miss Tom. Every day I've missed him.

"It's not fair on Katie; I have immense feelings for someone else that aren't just going to go in the next week. She's genuinely attracted, she's made that perfectly clear and I'm just not ready for that."

"It's not fair to couple up with someone who's potentially interested in taking things further," she explains. "I don't want to do something that I regret and ruin my relationship with Tom. I want him."

She is now missing her beau Tom.

Has Sophie's actions already blown her chances with Tom, though?

Fans will know that Tom has been watching Sophie's every move on the outside, and he had told his followers he was "done" with his and Sophie's relationship, after she kissed Katie.

Tom had tweeted: "I'm a loyal guy and will 100% remain loyal until she's unfaithful... #CountingTheMinutes."

He then followed that up with: "Done."

Tom had watched Sophie tease that she was single while enjoying a champagne date with Katie. The girls shared a brief kiss on their date, with Sophie saying: "I'm so glad you're here. I feel like you're almost like an angel sent into the villa at a time when I'm at my lowest ebb."

Tom has since said he would like to "confront" Sophie about Katie on the show. Eyeing up a return like his co-star Malin Andersson, Tom told fans he would love to fly back to Mallorca and "stir things up."

Asked if he could forgive Sophie for kissing Katie, Tom replied: "Don't think I've got a choice tbh #MovedOn."
