Geordie Shore's Marnie Simpson has said she's "furious" with Love Island contestant Troy Frith for using her name.

Salesman Troy, 23, arrived at the villa last week alongside model Oliver Maxwell Fernandez, 25, and had just one day to woo the island's ladies.

And Troy was successful at that task as they picked him to become a permanent islander (thanks to his blossoming bond with Tina Stinnes) and sent Oliver home.

But one lady NOT impressed is Marnie.

After being told ex-boyfriend Troy had dropped her name into a pre-show interview, she hit out in her latest column for Star magazine.

Marnie wrote: "I can't believe my ex Troy Frith used my name when he went into Love Island! I'm furious!

"When I was with him, people said he was fame hungry, but I didn't listen to them. He'll do well because he's charming, but he's also shallow. He'll just go for the best-looking girl in the villa."

She had previously tweeted: "Name dropping a ex or anything like it purely to get on a tv show is probably the most annoying thing in the world #cringe."

Troy's future in the villa is at risk tonight.

Troy made a beeline for Tina when he arrived at the villa, and the pair later coupled up. But their bond wasn't that strong, and in Monday night's recoupling, she picked Adam Maxted to couple with friends.

Now, Troy's future in the villa hangs in the balance. After Katie Salmon and Sophie Gradon made a same sex coupling, Troy and newcomer Adam Jukes were left without partners.

So, in a twist, a brand new islander will enter the villa on Tuesday night, date both Troy and Adam J, and then decide who to couple with and who should go home!

Love Island airs 9pm on ITV2.
