Sophie's boyfriend Tom Powell was eliminated on Thursday night (30 June), leaving Sophie solo in the villa, which means new girl Katie will be bunking down with her in the same bed.
Glamour model Katie, 20, was voted into the villa in scenes to air on Friday, after battling three other women for permanent islander status.
When Katie was told Sophie is bisexual, she replied: "I'm bisexual. She's so my type. I go for girls with big boobs, brunette and dimples."
She later said: "[Sophie] is a very strong female, and I like that in a girl. I like someone who's very strong, and very dominant. She has said that I'm her type, but I'd like to get to know her before I start jumping into things.
"Like I say, it's early days with her and Tom. Obviously I might have limited time in here, so I have to move quite quickly. But you can't move too quickly because you can't look too desperate, so you've got to play it cool."
Hmmm… despite Sophie being official with the departed Tom, islander Kady McDermott told the Beach Hut she wouldn't be surprised if something did happen between Sophie and Katie.
Sophie's a good-looking girl, Katie's a good-looking girl, they both swing both ways. Who knows what could happen? And they're both each other's type."
But former Miss Great Britain Sophie, 30, seemed less keen when rumours of a possible hook up with Katie reached her, saying just because two bisexual women were in the villa didn't mean they would automatically couple up.
"Just because a girl has come into the house and she's bisexual, does not mean that I'm going to straight off be in bed doing stuff with her."
Meanwhile, Tom, 24, told Sophie he loved her on Thursday night, just before he left the villa. Hugging her goodbye, he dropped the L-bomb and said he'd be waiting for her on the outside.
Love Island continues 9pm on ITV2.
