Eight new potential islanders – four boys and four girls - will arrive at the villa on Friday night, but only two will secure a permanent place and be in with a chance of winning that £25,000 prize.
Car salesman and part time model Ashley, 24, has admitted to having his eye on Sophie if he becomes a permanent islander… which probably isn't what Tom wants to hear having just been eliminated.
Ashley said he'd go for Sophie as he's "attracted to her maturity and striking looks", adding he likes confidence, a good sense of humour and big lips in a girl.
He also said he prefers an older girl because of their maturity and life experience. Former Miss Great Britain Sophie is 30.
Tom was sent home in the latest public vote last night, meaning he had to leave girlfriend Sophie behind in the villa. But before leaving, he told her he loved her and would wait for her on the outside.
Speaking to Caroline Flack afterwards, he said he trusted Sophie and thought they had a future.
"I trust her fully and I know she trusts me. But not having her by my side is going to kill me. I told her I love her. I realised weeks ago, I'm just crazy about her. I've never felt like this," he said.
"I do think there's a future there with Sophie. We've planned things and are going to follow through, 100 per cent."
Meanwhile, Ashley will have to fight for his place in the villa against three other men: DJ and personal trainer Marcus Privet, 23, model and events manager Rob Mead, 29, and recruitment consultant Adam Jukes, 23.
Four women will also be competing for just one female place in the villa: club hostess Sinead Hegarty, 23, glamour model Katie Salmon, 20, PA and part-time model Kasey Wynter, 31, and beauty salon owner Chelsea, 21
Love Island continues 9pm on ITV2.
