Love Island: Sophie Gradon has admitted she is "not surprised" her fellow islanders chose her and Tom Powell as one of the villa's weakest couples.

Fans will know that after re-coupling, the islanders were asked to vote in their pairs and pick which two couples they think are the weakest on the show. It was revealed that Tom and Sophie (who recently split) had been chosen, along with Adam and Liana.

Tonight, Caroline reveals which couples have been chosen and Sophie admits: "Timing was just a b*tch."

Caroline asks Sophie how she feels about herself and Tom being in the bottom two, and she replies: "I'm not surprised really, I think because me and Tom had broken up, timing was just a b*tch on this one."

Tom, meanwhile, added: "I haven't got much to say really. I think because we'd broken up, everyone thought we wasn't strong because of that."

He and Sophie had been coupled since day one in the villa, and the pair had made their relationship official. However, the arrival of Tom's ex-girlfriend Emma-Jane Woodham put strain on their relationship, and when Sophie developed a friendship with Emma, he had accused her of spending more time with his ex than she does with him.

Sophie had enough and told Tom he was pushing her away, thanks to his constant mood swings. The pair appeared to split, and she told Tom she needed space.

Tom, however, wasn't giving up that easily and viewers have watched him try to win Sophie back. Cue a number of mushy speeches...

He told her: "This whole thing has made me rethink the whole situation and make me rethink me and you. You've made me change... You matter the world to me. You're my main priority, there's nothing else that compares to you. You're the one thing that I have to look after in this life. I've never wanted to fight for something as much in my entire life."

Since then, Tom has tried to respect Sophie's wish for the pair to put some distance between them, and it seems to be working. She recently confessed that she had been missing Tom and liked the new version of him.

Of course, it wouldn't be Love Island, though, without a major dose of drama and Caroline reveals to Sophie that she and Tom won't be voted out as a couple. Instead, the public have been voting to save just one person from each couple, meaning one of each pair will be dumped.

Tom's response? "You're sh*tting me. It's f**king ridiculous."
