Love Island's Tom Powell is losing patience with ex-girlfriend Emma-Jane Woodham, declaring: "I don't like Emma, she's winding me up."

Trainee project manager Emma, 19, arrived at the villa last week, much to Tom's shock, and has struck up a close bond with his now-ex-girlfriend Sophie Gradon.

It was partly Emma's arrival that finally broke Tom and Sophie.

While Emma was initially worried Sophie would see her as a threat, the two women have been getting on really well, as they continued to demonstrate in Wednesday's episode, when they joined forces for the latest challenge.

Islanders had to assemble a flat pack bed with the girls doing the manual work and the boys giving instructions, but Sophie and Emma decided to team up without any male help - and they succeeded.

Emma told Tom: "I'm well chuffed with that, we didn't need your help!"

But Tom wasn't happy and told the boys: "I don't like Emma, she's winding me up. Don't start on me. As I was walking past she got in my face."

He's struggling to watch Sophie and Emma bond so well... which the women continued to do when they were given champagne in the hot tub as their reward for completing the challenge.

"Who would have thought I'd be sat in the hot tub with Tom's ex, getting on well with her?" said Sophie.

"I genuinely feel like I've totally clicked with you."

"I know," agreed Emma. "It's such a strange situation to be thrown into, the three of us under one roof. You wouldn't get that in any other circumstance... I'm so glad we do get on. We get on so well. I think it's that perfect combination of personalities."

Meanwhile, Tom's still grafting to win Sophie back, after telling her she was the most important thing in his life and he didn't want to lose her.

"You matter the world to me," he told her. "You're my main priority, there's nothing else that compares to you. You're the one thing that I have to look after in this life. I've never wanted to fight for something as much in my entire life."

And it could be working as Sophie admitted on Tuesday's show she wasn't ready to move on and date anybody else yet.

Elsewhere, Emma has been striking up a bond with Terry Walsh, who has now been dumped by girlfriend Malin Andersson, who was eliminated from the villa last week.
