It was recently revealed that Michelle will be taking on the role of footballer Bobby Moore's wife Tina, in a brand new TV show about Bobby's life before and after England's success in the 1966 World Cup.
Filming begins this summer in Manchester (Michelle's hometown) and Mark couldn't resist sharing his excitement on Twitter.
He tweeted: "The cat is out the bag and I am over the moon. My wife is playing the wife to my all time hero Bobby Moore in a new drama for @ITV #buzzing."

Michelle will star in the three-part drama series, set to air on ITV. Executive Producer for ITV Studios, Kieran Roberts, has said: "Most people will know the story of Bobby Moore's achievements as captain of club and country – the only Englishman ever to lift the football World Cup.
"Far fewer will know the story of his life with Tina – a love story every bit as dramatic and epic as Bobby's exploits on the pitch. We are delighted to be dramatising Tina and Bobby's amazing story for ITV and, in Michelle and Lorne, we think we have the perfect casting of the 'golden' couple and we are thrilled."
Michelle's latest role comes after she landed the lead in BBC's Our Girl as Corporal Georgie Lane. She has also starred in Ordinary Lies and ITV2 comedy Plebs.
Speaking about her recent role on Plebs, Michelle revealed she had to film her very first TV sex scenes.
She told The Sun: "It was one of the first scenes we did. It was nerve-racking but he was so relaxed and calm that it helped me. Then afterwards I was like, 'Is that it?' It was really nothing to be bothered about. Now I can say I've been in a sex scene and it was actually quite fun!"
Michelle previously starred on Coronation Street as Tina McIntyre for six years, before her character was killed off in May 2014.
