Love Island's Terry Walsh has admitted he "feels free" following the departure of partner Malin Andersson.

Make-up artist Malin was dumped in the latest public vote on Wednesday night, leaving Terry single in the villa. Although he initially vowed to leave with her, Terry decided to stay and complete the experience.

And he admits there are benefits to Malin being gone.

Terry and Adam have a joint date with Emma.

On Friday night, Terry's sent on a joint date with Adam Maxted - also single since Zara Holland's exit - and newcomer Emma-Jane Woodham tonight. Emma's the ex-girlfriend of Tom Powell.

"The biggest challenge in there, when you're coupled up with someone, it's so intense," Terry tells her. "As much as I loved spending time with Malin, I just couldn't do anything. It was really hard work.

"Today and yesterday I feel free."

Malin left on Wednesday.

Trainee project manager Emma, 19, split from Tom in December, and contacted Love Island to join the show after seeing Tom unexpectedly pop up on her TV screen.

Before coming face-to-face with her ex, Emma was sent on a date with singletons Adam and Terry. "I'm 19 years old from Oxford and I work as a project manager for a construction company," Emma says, as she introduces herself. I'm a good laugh. I like being around other people, but I've got a dark side. If you cross me, you'll know about it."

Emma's type is "tanned, tall, muscly" and preferably with tattoos… hmmm, sound familiar?!

"I can't be with a weed, I need something to snuggle into," she adds.

Love Island airs 9pm on ITV2.
