Love Island: Kady McDermott apologises to newcomer Tina Stinnes, following *that* drama over Scott Thomas.

Kady had shocked her fellow islanders by branding Tina a "c***" when she chose to put Kady and her current beau Scott on a break. The pair have been coupled up for the last few weeks, but were forced to spend a night apart so Tina could enjoy a date with Scott.

Tina's decision to send Kady to the hideaway for the night led to all sorts of drama, and Kady's explosive reaction saw Scott call off their romance. He told Kady things had become "toxic" between them and they can't make their relationship work.

Kady had been advised by her best pal Zara Holland (who has since quit Love Island due to her mum falling ill) to apologise to Tina, as she had been left in tears by her behaviour.

In tonight's episode, after reconciling her relationship with Scott, Kady tries to apologise to Tina and clear the air.

Tina tells Kady she would have spoken to her about wanting to go on a date with Scott, but she wasn't able to. Commenting on Kady's reaction, Tina says: "I'm just not they type of person who's very lippy and shouty."

Kady responds: "The thing with me is, I don't think before I speak. I am learning. The 'C' word, I don't use it in an angry way..."

Tina then interjects: "I know, the way it was shouted you can say it was a joke [but]... The way it was shouted at me was in a rude way, not a funny way."

Hoping to put an end to the tension between them, Kady tells Tina that she is being sincere with her apology. She says: "When I do say sorry, I mean it. I don't know whether we're going to be best friends... Hopefully you can see my nice side. I'm not evil, I am just a bit lippy.

"I'm just learning to control it a bit more."

Tina, meanwhile, is hoping to keep her distance from Kady going forward. She admits in the beach hut following the girls' chat: "I think I will keep my distance. You have to be careful of her; she's just very different to me.

"I'm not very gobby and lippy in that way. She does have a nice side, she just needs to use that a bit more rather than the argumentative side. So 100 percent I'll be wary of her."

Love Island airs nightly on ITV2.
