Posting a quote to his page that referred to how a person changes in life, Jake told his fans: "I realise important things in life now."
The quote had read: "We're not the same person we were a year ago, a month ago, or a week ago. We're constantly changing; experiences don't stop. That's life."
Jake had been hospitalised at the end of May, after an alleged stabbing incident took place during a night out in Marbella over the Bank Holiday weekend. Jake's rep had confirmed at the time that he was in hospital, but no further details were given.
Unconfirmed reports have claimed Jake nearly lost a kidney.
The reality star was discharged from hospital last week, but is still undergoing treatment and is required to stay in Marbella for several check-ups. A spokesperson for TOWIE has said that the show is letting Jake focus on his recovery, before discussing his return.
When Jake read an article claiming he would not be returning to TOWIE, however, he appeared to sarcastically respond, replying: "Thanks for letting me know."
Since his hospitalisation, Jake has thanked fans for the support they have show him.
He tweeted: "Your support has got me through this worrying time but as I said you can't get rid me that easy! I'm slowly getting better."
He has also given fans an insight into how he is feeling following the incident, sharing many inspirational messages on social media.
One read: "I guess the real fact of the matter is, we don't know what tomorrow is going to bring and the only thing we really have is right now. So, don't stay mad for too long. Learn to forgive. Love with all your heart. Have fun. Live your life the way you want to live it. Don't worry about people that don't like you. Enjoy the ones you do."
On his first outing since being hospitalised, Jake shared a photo of himself at the beach and told his followers: "What a feeling."
