Big Brother: Housemates have nominated for the first time.

Nominations are back and yesterday (15 June), the housemates were told they would be nominating which two people they want to face eviction. Given that it's Big Brother they probably saw it coming, but this time round, nominations are getting a lot stricter.

Big Brother won't be accepting any half-hearted reasons, suggesting that nominations could take a real tense turn this series...

In a new video shared to Big Brother's official website, Big Brother gathers the housemates on the sofa and reveals news of nominations.

BB says: "This is Big Brother. Housemates, today you will nominate for the first time. Nominations are your ultimate power, you should use this power wisely.

"Shortly, Big Brother will call you to the diary room in no particular order. You must then nominate the two housemates you would like to see face the public vote. You must give a full and valid reason for each of your choices."

They then revealed that both Ryan Ruckledge and Chelsea Singh are off limits. Ryan is unable to nominate and can't be nominated as he only entered the house last week, and Chelsea cannot be nominated, as he is no longer a housemate.

Viewers watched The Others kidnap Chelsea and take away his housemate status in Tuesday night's live twist.

Big Brother then added: "Big Brother would also like to clarify that saying, 'you don't have anything in common', 'haven't spent much time with', or 'do not connect with a housemate' is not a valid reason on its own.

"You must always qualify your reasons for your nomination on why this affects you personally. Big Brother would also like to remind you that you cannot discuss your nominations with other housemates, if you do, there will be severe consequences."

Interesting! Does this mean nominations are about to get a whole lot tougher? Or will the claws well and truly come out?

Fans will find out which housemates face eviction in tonight's episode of the show.

Big Brother airs nightly on Channel 5.
