Former X Factor contestant Christopher was in the Celebrity Big Brother house with Stephanie earlier this year, and the pair formed a strong friendship.
So when Christopher saw a tweet accusing Stephanie, 23, of faking her pregnancy and planning a miscarriage story, he couldn't stay silent.
An unidentified Twitter user had said to Steph "You're not even pregnant. We're all just waiting for the inevitable 'miscarriage horror' story. You're a mess."
Christopher, 38, reacted by saying: "This is disgraceful-leave her alone! These #trolls need to be stopped not big or clever targeting a pregnant women!
"My family and I were attacked by vicious #trolls when I came out of #Xfactor - these people don't realise the hurt and fear it causes! #STOP
"She's been through an awful time! But is in a good place atm - why try to drag her back down she's PREGNANT! (sic)"
Sallie Axl then chipped in to say: "Wow it's serious harassment @Stephdavis77 does not need to share a photo and she is still early on so let her be. It's crazy. Steph is going through a bad time. People need to get of her back. It makes me sad."
After seeing the tweets and Christopher's response, Steph tweeted to him: "Love you ChrisIf only they all knew what's been going on,can't wait for the smile to be wiped of some nasty faces (sic)."
Following her fourth split with former Celebrity Big Brother co-star Jeremy McConnell last month, Stephanie confirmed her pregnancy - but Jeremy has said the child isn't his.
Speaking to OK magazine, Steph said: "My pregnancy was a shock but I can't wait to be a mum. I hope that Jeremy will want to be a part of this baby's life, but if he decides not to then I am prepared to raise our baby on my own."
