Former Geordie Shore star Vicky, 28, has told OK magazine the person man she'd consider dating right now is ex-TOWIE star and close friend Mario.

"I've got no time so I'm going to be single for the foreseeable future. If I was going to date anyone it would be Mario, he's a great guy," she said.

"My life is fantastic but I'm 28 and sometimes I want a man to take me out, cuddle up with me - I do get lonely."

Vicky and Mario, 28, sparked romance rumours over the last few months, after being seen out and about together in Essex. They previously said they had been friends for years, and Vicky is new to Essex so was staying at Mario's house while her own home is remodeled.

But on Loose Women last week, Vicky broke the news they weren't dating.

"I think with me and Mario, we super tried to make something work and it didn't," she said, adding it had been awkward timing when Mario's sister Giovanna Fletcher appeared on Loose Women the week before.

"I think his sister coming on was awkward timing." she added, "but he's lovely and he's a really nice lad. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to see each other and it fizzled out. I still see him as a friend and a great lad and any girl who ends up with him is very lucky."

Mario, meanwhile, told Daily Mail: "We both tried to make it work. I'm busy away a lot and if you haven't go time for yourself, how are you going to make time for someone else?"

"We're such good friends. We get along so well. We had to make it a mutual decision, unless we can give it our all we're going to end up ruining our friendship."

"We decided to just remain friends," He said. Although, he did hint: "It could happen in the future..."
