TOWIE star Jake Hall has revisited his unlikely friend, an elderly man named Eduardo, while returning to hospital for a check up.

At the end of last month, Jake was hospitalised after an alleged stabbing in Marbella. He has since assured fans he is "getting better" and recently Jake was discharged from hospital.

It has, however, been revealed that Jake will be spending a month overseas while he recovers, and it sounds like he'll be having to head back into hospital for regular checkups to monitor his condition.

While in hospital, Jake revealed he had made a friend, Eduardo, and credited him and his family for helping to push him through his recovery. When he headed back into hospital for a checkup today, Jake told fans there was no way he wasn't going to pay Eduardo a visit.

Jake tweeted: "Here we go back to the dreaded place hope is all good! Get to see Eduardo see if he alright."

He then added in a second tweet: "Mi amigo Eduardo what a [special] person with a amazing family who was there for me the hole time."

Jake also Instagrammed: "Was no way I wasn't coming to see my mate Eduardo such a strong man with a amazing family, so happy to see him getting better (sic)."

Following his visit, Jake tweeted for a third time. He told followers: "Gotta go back to hospital tomorrow hate them places although saved me just not nice to keep going."

Jake has not revealed details of what led to his hospitalisation, and as police are currently investigating, they have not released any information.

Reports had alleged that Jake was stabbed with a broken bottle over the Bank Holiday Weekend at the end of May, with unconfirmed claims suggesting he nearly lost a kidney.

He, meanwhile, has been focusing on his recovery and recently shared an inspirational quote to social media.

It read: "I guess the real fact of the matter is, we don't know what tomorrow is going to bring and the only thing we really have is right now. So, don't stay mad for too long. Learn to forgive. Love with all your heart. Have fun. Live your life the way you want to live it. Don't worry about people that don't like you. Enjoy the ones you do."
