Ahead of one track, the star quipped that the audience may know he'd recently lost his pet hamster… which many took as a cryptic reference to ex-wife Billie Piper, whom he split from last year and shares two young sons.

He told the crowd he missed his old hamster, adding: "It's a very emotional time."

According to The Mirror, he also told the audience ahead of another track: "This song is about my children, who I love. Who wouldn't? It'd be weird to hate your children. It's called The Best Mistake.

Laurence hasn't said anything since the festival, although he did tweet a link out to his first EP, Sorry For My Words, alongside the caption: "For my boys."
