The 38-year-old appeared on the Hard Rock Stage at Seaclose Park on Saturday, 11 June, where he performed tracks from his debut album Holding Patterns, which was released in February.
Ahead of one track, the star quipped that the audience may know he'd recently lost his pet hamster… which many took as a cryptic reference to ex-wife Billie Piper, whom he split from last year and shares two young sons.
He told the crowd he missed his old hamster, adding: "It's a very emotional time."
According to The Mirror, he also told the audience ahead of another track: "This song is about my children, who I love. Who wouldn't? It'd be weird to hate your children. It's called The Best Mistake.
Laurence hasn't said anything since the festival, although he did tweet a link out to his first EP, Sorry For My Words, alongside the caption: "For my boys."
