During last night's episode of the show (12 June), host Caroline Flack revealed a dumping twist as she told the islanders they would be deciding who would be leaving Love Island.
Following the recent re-coupling, the public had been voting for who they think makes a perfect match and the islanders were told the couple that receives the lowest amount of votes would be at risk of being dumped.
However, as they all enjoyed a party on a private beach, Caroline rocked up to deliver a bombshell. She revealed the two couples that had received the lowest amount of votes and explained that their fellow islanders could only choose one person from each couple to save.
Newcomer Adam Maxted and his partner Olivia Buckland were immune from the dumping this time round, and Caroline revealed it was Rykard Jenkins and Rachel, and Zara Holland and Daniel that had made the bottom two.
The islanders then had to vote and picked Rykard to stay, meaning Rachel had to leave the island. Rykard, however, refused to let her go without him and told his co-stars he didn't want to stay without Rachel.
Despite Rykard's claims he was going to leave too, Caroline revealed that the islanders still had to choose between Daniel and Zara. Zara was saved, and Daniel became the second islander to be dumped.
On his exit, Daniel admitted he didn't fancy Zara, but chose to couple up with her so Rykard and Rachel could give their romance a go.
He told Caroline: "As I got to know her, we didn't have as much in common as I would have liked or thought we did. We're very different and no, there was no attraction there."
Dan said he would have liked to have got to know Rachel a bit better, adding: "Rachel's a beautiful girl and she's an amazing person as well, I would have loved to have got to know her, but I built a huge bond with Rykard.
"He was my closest mate in there and if you ask me now, 'Did I make the right decision in letting him move forward with Rachel and me stepping down?' Yeah I did. He clearly has very strong feelings for Rachel and I'm glad I let that flourish into what it is."
Caroline, however, then revealed to Rachel that Rykard had actually confessed to having sex with Olivia - the night after he enjoyed a date with Rachel in the hideaway.
She was visibly shocked by the news and told Caroline she didn't think Rykard would do something like that. Rachel said: "I don't know if I should be angry or upset, I'm so shocked. I feel quite betrayed, I really do."
"I've been cheated on in the past," she added. "I'm not going to stand for that... I can't believe he's that boy, I really didn't think he would."
Dan, meanwhile, said: "It's really upset me... I didn't get to know Rachel purely because I wanted Rykard to be happy."
Rachel is set to confront Rykard in tonight's episode.
