Lateysha Grace has been supported by the father of her ten-month-old daughter Wynter when it comes to her Big Brother appearance.

Following her Big Brother entrance earlier this week, former The Valleys star Lateysha had received a bit of a backlash online for choosing to do the show and leaving her baby girl at home.

She came under fire for not mentioning Wynter during her VT (although some pointed out that could have been down to editing) and now, Wynter's dad has jumped to Lateysha's defence, insisting their daughter is being well cared for while she is away.

He took to Wynter's official Instagram account and shared a photo of himself and his bubba out together. Ben then addressed the criticism Lateysha has been subject to, adding the caption: "I find it amusing seeing the certain internet trolls questioning how lateysha can leave her child to go on big brother.

"There has been numerous people enter the house with children. Let me assure you from now Wynter is in safe hands with me, she is very happy and she has got a massive family to be there for her aswell. #bbuk (sic)"

Latyesha and Ben welcomed their daughter back in September last year. At the time, the reality star had gushed: "I'm officially a mum after the worst three days of slow labour! I'm so I'm love I can't believe I've created something so beautiful."

Lateysha, meanwhile, appeared to anticipate the backlash her decision to take part in Big Brother could generate and appeared to provide a response to her critics, prior to appearing on the show.

A week before Tuesday's launch, she had shared a sweet photo of herself and Wynter together on Instagram. Alongside her post, she said: "Everything I do I do it for you."

Latyesha is set to face eviction in tonight's live show, alongside Vicky Pattison's BFF Alex Cannon, Laura Carter and Andy West.

However, in a twist, Big Brother has revealed the TWO housemates who are chosen to leave will actually join The Others in BB's secret house instead.

Big Brother airs nightly on Channel 5.
