Love Island star Javi Shephard has appeared to set his sights on none other than Vicky Pattison.

Well, to be honest, can you blame him?!

Yesterday, Javi made his feelings known to the I'm A Celebrity winner, after Love Island fan Vicky put herself forward for a celebrity version of the show.

Back in the day, Love Island started out as a celebrity-based show and saw the likes of Calum Best and Paul Danan sign up. It only lasted for two series, though, before returning last year and show bosses decided to focus on having non-famous islanders instead.

Having tuned in to the show's current series on ITV2, Vicky tweeted: "I want them to do a Celebrity @LoveIsland like they used to SO MUCH!!!! And I really want to be in it!!!"

Javi, meanwhile, seemed just as keen for Vicky to make an appearance on the show and tapping her up to join him, he tweeted Vicks to say: "We would rule the re-coupling."

Vicky replied with two emojis, one crying with laughter and a heart-eyed one, along with the tweet: "Lol... You saying what I think you're saying?!!"

Cheeky Javi then sent Vicky a winking emoji, along with one blowing a kiss, and said: "You better believe it."

He also tagged Love Island's official Twitter handle in his tweet and ITV2... is he trying to make it happen?!

Fans will be pleased as many were all for Javi and Vicky coupling up and heading into the villa, with one tweeting: "Yess #powercouple two of my faves, your banter would be mint @LoveIsland sort this out! Asapp (sic)."

Could you actually imagine Javi rocking back into the villa with Vicky on his arm? We'd LOVE to see how the other islanders would react.

Javi Shephard and Daniel Lukakis, Love Island
3 June

Javi was an original islander on Love Island's new series, but found himself dumped from the show after the first re-coupling.

He hadn't had it easy in the villa and found himself to be the only single boy, after Olivia Buckland chose to couple up with model Daniel Lukakis (despite intially choosing Javi) and newcomer Kady falling for Scott Thomas.

Javi had tried to persuade Miss Great Britain Zara Holland to pick him, telling her it made sense tactically, but she favoured Dan instead.

Speaking exclusively to Reveal following his exit, Javi said: "Zara was a complete [idiot] for not picking me. I gave her the best insurance plan she was ever going to get... in my opinion she is just there for fame. That is what she wants. She just tries name dropping and putting everything out there like she is some kind of queen. She's not."

Asked where he thinks he went wrong after becoming the first to leave, he told us: "I didn't go wrong anywhere, I just think that my standards are that high, there wasn't anyone that I found incredibly attractive... I was literally picking scraps."

Love Island airs nightly on ITV2.
