Were you a fan of E4 reality show Taking New York? Then you'll definitely remember Georgina Leigh Cantwell and guess what people, she's now in the Big Brother house along with a slew of other familiar faces...

Taking New York saw a group of twenty-something Brits taking on the Big Apple and trying to make a name for themselves in NYC. Think Made In Chelsea, but change the setting to across the pond.

Georgina was a fan favourite on the show thanks to her no-nonsense attitude, brutally honest one-liners and her mega tantrums. Oh, and we loved her romance with Ben Waddell, she definitely knew how to show him what he was missing!

Now, though, Georgina has swapped New York and touched back down in London to settle into the Big Brother house.

Last night (7 June), Big Brother kicked off its seventeenth series, and this time round the civilian show is slightly different. As well as, your usual non-famous housemates, there are also a slew of contestants who have been in the limelight.

As well as 26-year-old Georgina, viewers saw Vicky Pattison's BFF Alex Cannon enter the house, along with former The Valleys star Lateysha Grace and there's a few others you may recognise too.

Ryan Ruckledge

Ryan Ruckledge auditioned for The X Factor last year and made quite the controversial appearance at bootcamp. While he was supposed to be rehearsing his group performance, Ryan admitted he had been drinking, saying: "I am feeling double stressed. I'm having to have a bottle of wine and a beer and some double voddies to chill me out because that is stressful as."

Viewers then saw him jump into a pool fully clothed, and he was later criticised by Simon Cowell following his performance. Choosing to send him home, Simon told Ryan: "Your attitude and what you did stank. You let yourself down, you made yourself look like a complete and utter idiot.

"I'm not interested, I'm not interested in your attitude, your terrible voice and the fact that you decided getting drunk was more important than working with this lot."

Rita, meanwhile, claimed Ryan was only interested in fame and (slightly predicting the future) Nick Grimshaw agreed, telling her: "He wants to be on Big Brother, not X Factor."

Ryan is one of 'The Others' and will be staying in Big Brother's second house. This year there are TWO houses and 'The Others' are on a mission to take down the main housemates and steal their place in the main compound.

34-year-old Alex is a former journalist and news reporter for the BBC. He is most known for speaking out against the channel in a YouTube video, after Tyson Fury was awarded Sport Personality of the Year. He didn't agree, and said he was "ashamed to work for the BBC."

You'll definitely have heard of Marco's dad, as he's famous chef Marco Pierre White. He is probably most known for starring on ITV's Hell's Kitchen and CBB fans actually saw Marco enter the house as part of a cooking task back in 2011.

Now his son, Marco Junior, is giving Big Brother a whirl. He is the middle child in the Pierre White family and works as a model. 21-year-old Marco is engaged.

Big Brother airs nightly on Channel 5.
