The issue was Gaz's appearance on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here NOW! last year, when he suggested viewers weren't seeing the real Vicky in the jungle.
She wasn't too happy with that.
But speaking to MTV, Gaz, 28, claimed he had no idea he'd said something wrong and was still supporting Vicky right up until she won.
"In the final, I was still tweeting, Snapchatting, telling people to vote for Vicky. I didn't realise what I'd done was that wrong," he said. "Then Vicky came out, blocked us on Twitter and messaged us saying 'never talk to us again'. I was like 'happily!'"
He added: "I knew she was biting her tongue in there, I knew she was being well-behaved, I knew she was being a people-pleaser. That is literally all I said and it's probably what a lot of people were thinking. It wasn't a bad thing!"
Gaz had said of Vicky in I'm A Celebrity: "It's not Vicky. She's playing a very safe game. I've known her for a long time and she's the most argumentative person I've ever met in my life. At the minute she's playing it very safe and trying to get everyone to like her.
"The Vicky I know would have mixed it up, put Lady C with Duncan, but she's playing a safe game. The only person in there who could have a good argument with Lady C would be Vicky. I know that. I'm waiting for that to happen."
Vicky, 28, later told Fabulous magazine she'd heard Gaz wanted to appear on I'm A Celebrity and his comments about her were a case of "sour grapes".
"Hate, jealousy and bitterness from a very sad little man. I know exactly why he did it – because he went for I'm A Celebrity! as well and the producers thought he was a t*t! A one-trick pony who had nothing to offer but shagging lasses and lo and behold, ITV didn't want you, you skinny moron."
Vicky left Geordie Shore in 2014.
