Ooh, is the new series of Geordie Shore filming abroad?

It certainly seems so when you look at some of the tweets sent by the cast over the weekend, revealing they were off to the airport for some fun in the sun!

Marnie Simpson told fans: "Can't wait for tomorrow. 6 whole weeks of fun in the sun @mtvgeordieshore. I have a good feeling about series 13."

Chloe Ferry, meanwhile, shared a Snapchat video showing some of the cast in a van, declaring they were off to the airport. Holly Hagan, meanwhile, shared a sneaky Snapchat of Marnie fast asleep on the plane, while Marty McKenna cosied up to Chloe for a few pictures.

Initially, they landed in Barcelona – as she revealed in her video – but it seems that was just a stopover, as Scotty T later proclaimed: "Landed in Magaaaa!"

If they are in Magaluf, it's not the first time the cast have visited: back in 2011, just after the first series aired, they filmed two episodes in the Spanish city for Magaluf Madness.

The Geordie Shore lot have also filmed in Mexico, Australia and Greece. Lucky!

The new series of Geordie Shore may get some taking used to as we'll be missing one of the most familiar faces from the show, Charlotte Crosby.

Charlotte, has been a castmember since day one but announced last week she was quitting, partly as she didn't want to be around co-star and ex-boyfriend Gaz Beadle anymore.

Charlotte won't be in the new series.

There had been rumours she could return to the show for cameo and special appearances, but she shut that speculation down at the weekend, saying: "I appreciate all the optimistic articles of me returning to @mtvgeordieshore for "Special Occasions" But sadly there's no truth in these...

"I am no longer a part of Geordie shore and have no plans in returning. It's massively devastating for me and I will miss them all. But I'm ready and MASSIVELY excited for my real life to start now. Just to clear that up from the articles that have been claiming otherwise."

However, she appeared to be feeling some regret the next day over her decision to quit, as she told fans: "When you realise you made what seems like the worst decision of your life.....I've lost my family...my life. Cast and CREW."

She added: "This is gunna be a VERY VERY hard couple of months (sic)."

In the meantime, you can catch Charlotte and the rest of the stars in the special Geordie Shore: Big Birthday Battle series, filmed earlier this year and airing now on Tuesdays at 10pm on MTV.
