Jake Hall has thanked the doctors and nurses looking after him in Spain after he was allegedly 'stabbed' at a nightclub.

The TOWIE star is currently in a Spanish hospital following a reported stabbing incident at a club in Puerto Banus in the early hours of Monday morning.

He tweeted overnight: "Nurses and doctors are best people on Earth the way they look after you and help is just something else all deserve much more. Thank u (sic)."

Details of what happened have not been confirmed by Jake, 24, but reports have suggested he was stabbed while at a nightclub with friends, who then took him to hospital.

He uploaded two photos from his hospital bed yesterday to assure fans he's on the mend, joking "you can't get rid of me that easily."

"Managed to pull a smile for all the amazing people who sent nothing but love and wishing me better," he said. "Your support has got me through this worrying time but as I said you can't get rid me that easy! I'm slowly getting better."

A rep for Lime Pictures, which makes TOWIE, added to BBC News: "We can confirm that Jake is currently receiving hospital treatment. He is stable and hoping for a speedy recovery, but has requested privacy at this time."
