Frankie Essex was among the TOWIE stars of past and present who supported Jessica Wright's shoe collection launch in London last night.

The former Essex reality star wore a black dress accessorised with a vibrant purple scarf and matching shoes for the glam event at Vanilla, London on Wednesday (1 June).

Her appearance at the Jessica Wright Footwear party came after former TOWIE co-star Bobby Cole Norris slammed those who had "bodyshamed" Frankie after recent photos.

Writing in his weekly column for Reveal magazine, the Essex star said he "hated" cruel comments about people's appearances, and called for Frankie to be left alone.

"Frankie Essex got a lot of stick last week for wearing a tight pink dress on a night out," he said.

"Leave her alone, bless her heart. Frankie's admitted that she's been through a tough time recently, and if she feels comfortable, let her be. I hate bodyshaming – leave it out."

Well said, Bobs!

Frankie, who left The Only Way Is Essex in 2013, met up with former co-stars Danielle Armstrong, Ferne McCann and, obviously, Jess Wright at yesterday's glitzy event, as well as newcomers Megan McKenna and Pete Wicks.

She later told fans: "Had an amazing night... loved Jessica's new shoe launch a girl can never have enough shoes!!! Well done @jesswright77."
