Vicky Pattison looks to be ditching her Geordie Shore roots, and has told fans it's time for a "new chapter."

Vicky was an original castmember on the MTV reality show, and starred on Geordie Shore for nine series, before quitting in 2014. At the time, she told fans she had "outgrown" the Geordie Shore lifestyle and now it seems she is willing to put the show behind her.

How? By removing the reference to Geordie Shore in her Instagram handle.

Vicky is currently still @VickyGShore on Twitter, but she took the first step in becoming Vicky Pattison - not Vicky Pattison from Geordie Shore - on her Instagram account.

She revealed to fans that she has now changed her handle from @vicky_gshore to simply @vickypattison.

Sharing a screenshot of her new profile, Vicky tweeted: "Well here it is.. It was time for a new chapter and I couldn't avoid it any longer! I'm now @vickypattison on insta!"

Will her Twitter username be next, then?

Since leaving Geordie Shore, Vicky has been keen to show people the "real her." She took her chance when she appeared on I'm A Celebrity last year, and won viewers over, later becoming the show's new Queen of the jungle.

When she won, Vicky said she had hoped to "change people's perceptions of her" following her time on Geordie Shore. She said: "I would like to think [I have changed perceptions of me]. I bet everyone thought I would go in and chuck kangaroos about and kick off and argue with everyone but I wasn't! That's not me."

She has since gone on to become a regular panellist on Loose Women and Vicky has often spoken of her hopes not to ruin her new presenting career. So much so, that she has ruled out an appearance on Celebrity Big Brother and a return to Ex On The Beach.

Speaking exclusively to Reveal in April, Vicky told us: "I would go back [on EOTB] until I was crawling out of the sea on a Zimmer frame – if it was any way, shape or form good for my career and it's not any more."

She explained: "I can't sit and pontificate with Ruth Langsford and Janet Street Porter about inequality in the workplace, while in the same breath throw around cocktails on the beach and call everyone b*llends."
