Holly Hagan has responded to news her best friend Charlotte Crosby has quit Geordie Shore, telling fans on Twitter she '100 percent supports' Charlotte's decision.

Earlier today, Charlotte revealed she has made the "difficult decision" to walk away from the MTV reality show. The 26-year-old admitted she had been thinking about doing so for some time now, and is willing to "sacrifice" her place on the show so she can avoid ex Gary Beadle.

Since her announcement, Charlotte has been inundated with support - especially from her co-stars.

Holly took to Twitter to reply to Charlotte's tweets about her exit and said: "@Charlottegshore don't know how I'll cope without this girl, the only girl who gave me a chance since day1! But 100% support your decision."

Charlotte's decision to leave the show came after she recently revealed she was hospitalised with internal bleeding following an ectopic pregnancy.

She did an interview with Heat magazine and spoke candidly of her ordeal. Charlotte explained that at the time she had been hospitalised, on/off flame Gary had been filming for Ex On The Beach. Despite admitting he was "lovely" to her when she told him the news, she later realised that their romance was over for good.

Gary then shared his side of the story in his column for Daily Star, seemingly prompting Charlotte to announce she had left Geordie Shore. She accused Gary of not admitting he is in the "wrong", following the breakdown of their relationship in recent months.

He, meanwhile, accused Charlotte of speaking out about the pregnancy, after their management had vowed to stay silent. Gary said he was "shocked" to see Charlotte had gone public with it and while he admitted to sleeping with someone else during filming for Ex On The Beach, Gary insisted it had happened before he learned of Charlotte's hospitalisation. He claimed he was single, as the pair had never agreed to be exclusive.

Charlotte claimed Gary was "full of excuses" and told fans she had left Geordie Shore to get away from him.

Gary, however, refused to be blamed for Charlotte's exit. He told her leaving the show was her choice and "not to put it on him."

Meanwhile, a handful of the duo's Geordie Shore co-stars have had their say.

Marnie Simpson told fans it was an "awful day" after hearing about Charlotte's exit. She said: "Love you loads @charlottegshore us Geordies will always be there for you and have your back no matter what! And I hope that one day you will come home to Geordie shore (sic)."

While Nathan Henry appeared to respond by posting a slew of crying emojis and tweeting: "WTF ?!?! No please."

Scotty T tweeted both Charlotte and Gary, telling them he loved them. Fans then urged Scotty to try and make Charlotte stay on the show.
