She had been reflecting on her year last year and confessed that it had been "so awful."

Comparing how she feels now to this time twelve months ago, Holly told fans: "Thinking about how happy I am now compared to this time last year! 2015 was so awful."

She added a love heart emoji and one of a thought bubble, along with the phrase: "Always light at the end of the tunnel."

Fans were quick to share their support with the reality star. One follower commented: "@HollyGShore so glad your in a better place now!! Your amazing and you have came so far with everything loveyou!!"

Another added: "@HollyGShore good to see you happy again holly smiling always light at end of the tunnel."

Holly didn't dwell on what it was that made her year so awful, but could it have had something to do with her ex-beau Kyle?

Last year, Holly had split with ex-boyfriend Kyle twice, and fans will know things hadn't been great between them.

At the end of series ten of Geordie Shore, Kyle had plucked up the courage to ask Holly to be his first ever girlfriend. She happily said yes and couldn't have seemed more excited by their blossoming relationship, but things didn't last when the pair were out in Greece for series eleven of the show.

Kyle decided that he wanted to be single again and wasn't ready for a relationship. While he admitted Holly was the right girl for him, he confessed it was the wrong time for him to be dating.

Following their break up, Kyle left Holly confused as he continued to flirt with her, but decided to pull other girls too. They ended up rowing constantly, and their arguments took their toll on the rest of the group, forcing the house to give Holly and Kyle an ultimatum: one of them had to leave.

Kyle chose to head home and later revealed he had quit Geordie Shore, but he and Holly did rekindle their romance.

Holly revealed at the start of series 12 of Geordie Shore, that she and Kyle were an item again. However, by the end of the series, she confided in best pal Charlotte Crosby and told her she realised she couldn't be with Kyle and continue to live in the Geordie Shore house at the same time.

She and Kyle split for a second time, and things turned sour between the pair, when Kyle accused Holly of thinking 'the show is more important to her than he is.' Holly told fans she had been "deeply hurt" by Kyle's comments and that the pair were no longer speaking.

Things remained strained between them for quite some time, but now, it seems as though she and Kyle have finally sorted things out. So much so, that when he returned to film for Geordie Shore: Big Birthday Battle, Kyle claimed it "wasn't awkward" seeing Holly again.

In fact, he revealed the pair are now "best friends" and joked that he is even hoping to attend her wedding in the future - only not as the groom...
