The former TOWIE star had her first ever inking done earlier this year, and now she's revealed the fish hook design was a spur-of-the-moment decision after she'd packed her suitcase for the airport.
In a new video posted by TOWIE's official Twitter account, she said: "I had my frizzy curly hair the whole time, no make-up, bare foot, and this is how rock and roll I am. Because I thought, lose your inhibitions, let loose, be free. So basically, three hours before my flight, I packed my suitcase and said, 'Girls, I'm going to get a tattoo!'
"So I got a tattoo of a fish hook."
Lydia previously explained she had the fish hook design after having a fish hook stuck in her finger while filming Bear Grylls' Island celebrity special, as she wanted to remember her travels and amazing experience.
"It was one of the most excruciatingly painful experiences of my whole life," said Lydia. "I mean, it was horrific. I was left with my proud wound scar. I thought I would highlight and symbolise the amazing experience I had and also the fact I became a very free-spirited woman."
