Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing has had his say on Vicky Pattison's split with his best buddy Spencer Matthews and he admits he "loves" the way she did it.

When you're dealing with a break up, you often turn to your BFFs for support, but for poor Spenny, his pal Jamie was all for Vicky ending their brief romance.

"I'm so happy he's been friend-zoned," Jamie said.

Fans of Vicky and Spencer will remember she decided to call it quits with him, after having reservations about his womanising past. While Vicky admitted she really liked Spencer, she decided she liked herself more.

Opening up about her reasons or ending it, Vicky exclusively told Reveal: "Obviously I'm flying the flag for strong, sassy women everywhere and the whole dating Spencer Matthews thing is not good for that image. Being cheated on by Spencer Matthews is even less good for that image...

"He's gorgeous and handsome and it's a real shame but you've got to look after number one, haven't you? And I'm desperate not to be on that list of girls..."

Spencer was the one who first revealed the couple were no longer dating, admitting that Vicky had decided to "friend-zone" him.

Championing Vicky for her decision, Jamie recently told The Sun: "That's so epic, I love that. I mean badass from her... that's the coolest thing."

Although, he did admit he was a little gutted things didn't work out for them. Jamie added: "I love Vicky, I think she's great... I feel they would have made a good match."

Romance blossomed for Spencer and Vicky, following their time on I'm A Celebrity together. They had both entered the jungle as late arrivals last year, but Spencer was forced to leave early, after just two nights in camp.

He later revealed it was becuase he had been taking a steroids-based medication and producers decided it would be best for him to leave. Following his exit, he flew to Tanzania to help with charity work in an attempt to get out of the spotlight.

He and Vicky kept in touch, however, and on his return to the UK, they enjoyed a string of dates - including a weekend break in Monaco together.

Spencer has said he understood why Vicky decided not to pursue their romance further, and respected her decision.

He told the Loose Women panel: "We weren't a couple... but I thought it was heading that way. She is a lovely girl. We came to the conclusion that our relationship could last a lifetime... were we just to be close friends and have each others back."

Spenny is now believed to be dating model Morgane Robart. She appeared to confirm their relationship on Instgaram, sharing a slew of smitten posts with Spencer and referring to him as "her love."
