It's the dream many Brits have – cracking America – and it could come true for the former TOWIE star after his CBBC makeover show The Dengineers was picked up by Discovery Family Channel in the US.
Around 70 million homes in the US have access to the channel.
Mark tweeted the news back on 10 May and it was picked up by The Sun newspaper today, which added Mark's got an American agent who is hoping Dengineers could be the key to Mark's big break in the States.
A source said: "It's actually a really big deal for him, and his US agent thinks it could open the door to more presenting work in the USA, especially as Discovery is a such a big channel in the USA. Mark has the same agent as Ryan Seacrest and Piers Morgan in the USA,"
Mark co-hosts The Dengineers with Lauren Layfield, who joked she was hoping President Obama would be among the US fans. NEWS! Series 1 of The #Dengineers will be shown in the States! Hope you enjoy it...I'm looking at you @POTUS."
The children's show sees expert designers, builders and kids construct an extraordinary den, either completely from scratch or by transforming an existing space in the home.
"It's really interesting working with children," said Mark. "I had no idea that I would go into presenting children's TV but I'm pleased that I've done it. It's a completely different skill to anything I've done before. It can be challenging, but equally as rewarding – we're giving kids a dream come true."
"It's been amazing working with Lauren," he added. "We're on the same level and get on so well. She's really good at what she does and I've got high hopes for her."
Since leaving TOWIE at the end of series three, Mark has forged a successful career as a presenter. As well as Dengineers, he hosts Take Me Out: The Gossip, a Heart FM radio show and has fronted live TOWIE aftershows for ITVBe.
