The actress and former Celebrity Big Brother star recently shot a guest appearance to tie in with Peggy Mitchell's exit storyline, but a report today claimed bosses told her she'd never return to the soap after "unprofessional behaviour" on set.
Not true, says Danniella, who has taken to Twitter to give her side of the story - and hint that she's ready to move on to another soap.
She said: "I had two weeks work 2 do @bbceastenders a funeral to shoot. Nothing with Peggy or Grant. I was not sacked or axed, I just did 4 episodes. The crap story a supposed source has given is just that: CRAP!
"I came back for the 4 episodes they needed me for & my last day was Saturday. I was happy 2 go back 2 EastEnders 4 a few episodes. But I'm ready to call another soap home now. A move north maybe (sic)."
Move North? Coronation Street? Emmerdale? Hollyoaks? Watch this space...
A rep for Danniella also told Daily Mail: "She didn't get fired she worked her full contract. It's absolute lies. She was not fired she fulfilled her contract and she was booked for two episodes and that is what she shot."
Meanwhile, when Danniella's return was announced - alongside on-screen brothers Grant and Phil Mitchell - the soap's exec producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins also said Sam would only appear "for a few episodes".
"It is only right that all of Peggy Mitchell's children would be at her funeral. Danniella is the final piece of the Mitchell jigsaw puzzle, so it will be great for viewers to see Phil, Grant and Sam all back on screen. Sam will only be back for a few episodes, but these scenes are bound to go down in the soap's history."
