Well, there are three spots open!
Appearing on ITV's Lorraine today, the former Spice Girl said of this year's judging panel: "It's always kind of up in the air and I think Simon likes it like that but I mean obviously I'd love to be part of The X Factor - I had so much fun doing it, it's great show."
That echoes what she said on This Morning earlier this year: "The show is a brilliant show. I had so much fun doing it, and back when I was a guest judge. If they asked me, who knows. I love the show."
Mel, 40, was a guest judge on X Factor in series nine, then returned as a main judge for the 11th series, but only stayed for a year. She's also judged on X Factor Australia, America's Got Talent and The Voice Kids: Australia.
Show boss Simon Cowell will be the only judge returning to X Factor for this year's series after Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw all quit to focus on other projects.
That means a WHOLE new panel!
Or a new but very familiar panel... as well as Mel B, names rumoured to be in the running include former judges Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh.
