Last month, Marnie candidly revealed she is bisexual. The reality star was inundated by support from fans following her admission, but was recently quoted saying her mum 'isn't happy' with her decision.
Marnie, however, has now disputed this.
She had been quoted as saying (via The Sun): "It's still a very awkward thing with my mum. She isn't very happy about it. She doesn't like it and I don't think she ever will. She keeps saying I'm a waste of a woman.
"She keeps talking about grandkids and stuff... It's like you don't know that, there's a chance I'll end up with a man or a woman. It's been hard because I want to talk about it with my mum, but she loves me no matter what."
My mam is really supportive, it's been twisted as usual.— M A R N I E | G . S (@MarnieGShore) May 6, 2016
Taking to Twitter, Marnie reassured fans and said: "My mam is really supportive, it's been twisted as usual."
Marnie's latest tweet comes after she recently revealed she thinks it is "empowering" to speak out about your sexuality. She had hoped by being honest about about her own experience, it would encourage others in a similar situation to do the same.
Revealing the moment she first knew she was attracted to both men and women, Marnie explained: "When I was 19 I realised I would look at some girls in a different way. I've always kissed girls, but I don't think I took it seriously until I had an encounter with a girl last year. To me, that was different because it was just me and her. It wasn't for any other reason than I wanted to, so it made me think differently."
