Fans of MTV's dating show will now that Ricci starred on the first ever series and his entrance cause quite *the* stir. He rocked up out of the sea to surprise ex-fiancée Vicky Pattison and it was the first time the pair had come face-to-face after calling off their engagement back in February 2013.
It soon became clear neither Ricci or Vicky wanted to anywhere near each other, and after that experience, Ricci has now said he never ever wants to make a comeback.
Series five of Ex On The Beach has teased that a slew of stars from the past will return with 'unfinished business.' Charlotte Crosby has pretty much confirmed Gary Beadle's appearance, Melissa Reeves, Chloe Goodman and Jess Impiazzi are also rumoured to return, but Ricci is one familiar face we can now rule out of the lineup.
Speaking to our friends at Digital Spy recently, Ricci insisted: "Ex On The Beach is one show I would 100 percent never ever do again. I love MTV to bits, but they chucked me in the deep end there. That's one show I would never, ever, ever go back into. Ever."
Sounds like he's made his mind up, right?
Ricci added: "Exes are exes for a reason. I got told it was called The Summer of Love, so I never knew Vicky was going to be there. And now knowing what it entails, I'm just past that sort of drama in my life any more."
Minutes after stepping foot onto the beach, Ricci and Vicky explosively came to blows. She didn't want to see her past husband-to-be and as the pair traded insults, Vicky then threw a drink in Ricci's face after telling him to leave.
Ricci likened the moment to 'walking into hell' and said of Vicky: "She is the biggest mistake of me life, she's absolutely deluded and crazy."
Vicky, meanwhile, said: "The minute Ricci turned up here, my experience was over. I need to go home and forget he ever existed again."
It's safe to say there is still no love lost between the ex-couple and, luckily for Ricci, he wasn't forced to reunite with Vicky for Geordie Shore's five year special.
Geordie Shore: Big Birthday Battle will see Ricci return to the house along with a handful of other old castmembers. Vicky, however, chose not to come back for the milestone spinoff series and Ricci has admitted he was 'relieved.'
"I was glad she wasn't there," he confessed. "Other people might have wanted her there, but... it's just one of those relationships where you live, you learn, you move on. That experience going back, I got to enjoy it.
"Everyone saw us on Ex On The Beach, I didn't want that happening again."
